NeboWeb Helps Appalachian State University Launch Entrepreneurial Website

ATLANTA (October 25, 2006) – NeboWeb, an Atlanta-based interactive marketing company, announced today that it has donated a website and interactive marketing services to Appalachian State University for its new Center for Entrepreneurship (http://entrepreneurship.appstate.edu). The new site showcases Appalachian’s Center for Entrepreneurship program. It provides a way for current students, alumni and stakeholders to interact with the program, get news and events updates in order to strengthen the center.

NeboWeb worked closely with the Appalachian team to ensure that the site exceeded their goals. The entrepreneurial site is designed to be visually appealing and search engine friendly. It was architected with a strong focus on usability and a custom content management system was created that allows the university to self-manage the site through a user-friendly interface. This system enables the program’s administrators to focus on educational opportunities and events, such as the upcoming Carole Moore McLeod Entrepreneur Summit, instead of mastering web technologies.
The upcoming summit event being held Oct. 27 includes more than 40 business owners who will discuss their entrepreneurial experiences in a series of panel discussions and individual presentations. Topics discussed will include: Financing Growth, Hiring and Retaining High Quality Staff, Family Business, Customer Service, Startup Challenges, Marketing Strategies and Female Entrepreneurship. Businesses represented will include real estate, insurance, banking, restaurants, retail, manufacturing, technology, transportation, business services, advertising, printing and many more. In addition, the "Pitch Your Idea in 90 Seconds" student contest, sponsored by Mission House Creative, will be held at 1 p.m.
The student with the best proposal will receive $1,000. “The students come up with incredible ideas during the summit's idea contest,” Toney said. “The launch of the Center for Entrepreneurship website, thanks to NeboWeb’s sponsorship, will provide an additional forum for students to get excited about entrepreneurship".
The summit as well as the integration of the Center for Entrepreneurship’s site reinforces and strengthens Appalachian’s continuing commitment to education and the success and prosperity of its students and alumni.
